Please read the following Terms & Conditions carefully,

These terms and conditions will need to be agreed and signed before Hire Commences.

  1. BOOKING PROCEDURES
  1. DRIVER(s)

Additional drivers, and drivers with other convictions will be considered, but will only be accepted at the discretion of our insurer, and may incur additional charges. Please contact for details.

The Hirer, (you), will be liable for all expenses, fines, endorsements etc., incurred due to violation of traffic laws, regulations etc.

  1. INSURANCE

Comprehensive Insurance for the vehicle is included in the hire charge. This does not include internal fixtures, fittings and equipment, or any Optional Equipment that may have been added.
Hirers are strongly advised to take their own insurance which should include personal possessions. There may be insurance surcharge depending on convictions or health restriction.

It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure they provide accurate information when completing the booking process.

In the event of the motor policy being invalidated because of non-disclosure of relevant facts, the company will hold the hirer responsible for all losses, fines and any other eventualities.

There is an insurance excess of £1000. Security deposit of £1000, shall be taken at the commencement of the hire to cover any damage or loss for any one incident or accident whilst the vehicle is on hire to you. Provided the vehicle is returned in the same condition as let out. The full deposit will be returned within 7 days.

In the event of any damage resulting from the actions of a third party, for which we are able to reclaim the excess, the security deposit shall be returned to you once we have recovered this excess.

The vehicle is only insured for the hire period, i.e. Agreed collection date & time and return date & time. Returning late with the vehicle will result in a late return charge.

Driving of the vehicle after the expiry time of the hire, may result in the driver committing a traffic offence and subsequently liable to prosecution under Road Traffic Acts. Furthermore the hirer will be responsible for any accidental damage, injury and consequential loss after the expiry of the hire period.
Items NOT COVERED under the insurance, and which are the SOLE RESPONSIBILITY of the hirer are:-

The hire for the vehicle must not be used for the purpose of racing, competitions, rallies, or trials, track days or any purpose in connection with the motor trade.

All drivers must be aware of the height of the vehicle and are responsible for all damage if driven under an obstruction that is too low for it to clear – examples being low bridges, height restrictions barriers, trees, signs etc. In the event of such damage occurring, THE INSURANCE WILL NOT APPLY and the hirer will be liable for the costs of all repairs, damages, and subsequent losses.

SR Motorhome hire provides Fully comprehensive insurance with your rental as well as breakdown cover. However this will not cover any damages during your hire up to the sum of £2500 caused by hirers error or third party. Any damages up to the sum of £2500 will be payable by you, the hirer.
The security deposit of £1000 is required by insurance company which is in a pre authorisation which remains on hold in your account. The £1000 security deposit will only be taken into account if there was major damage to the motorhome in excess of £2500. We do recommend you take out your own motorhome hire insurance to cover such damages which may occur during your hire. 

In the event of any damages during your hire we will require any payments due to be settled in full upon return of the motorhome. To be determined by us, SRMotorhome hire.

  1. COLLECTION & RETURN

Standard Times – The motorhome is available for collection between 2pm & 4pm, on the first day of hire, and must be returned between 9.00am & 11.00am on the last day of the hire. If this does not suit the hirer then alternative arrangements must be agreed by both parties prior to hire. Please allow 30 minutes for the Handover process.

  1. ACCIDENTS OR BREAKDOWNS
  1. DIESEL, FUEL / GAS / TYRES
  1. ADDITIONAL CHARGES

The vehicle will be supplied in the best possible condition, and we ask that you maintain that standard and return the vehicle in a similar condition as received. Cleaning materials and equipment are supplied with the vehicle to facilitate this.

SR Motorhomes will reserve the right to charge if the following criteria is not met.

Additional Charges of £50 will apply in a failure to comply with the following.

 

 

 

 

For all other Damages or breakages an invoice will be sent to the Hirer on the full cost of the repair. The cost will be deducted from the Security deposit and the remaining returned to the hirer.

SR Motorhomes would ask if you could inform the company of any Damages or breakages immediately as this could have an impact on the next Hire.

 

  1. CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations must be in writing and are charged as follows:

More than 28 days prior to commencement of hire – Loss of deposit.

From 14 to 28 days prior to commencement of hire – Loss of deposit + 50% of the hire cost.

Less than 14 days prior to commencement of hire – Loss of the full hire cost.

The Company reserves the right to cancel the hire if at the commencement of the hire the driver’s licence(s) are invalid or do not meet our terms and conditions for hire. In these circumstances the total hire charge will be forfeited. Hirers are strongly advised to ensure they have their own insurance in the event of this or having to cancel.

  1. SMOKING

Smoking within the motorhomes is strictly forbidden.

Failure to comply will result in a £150 charge.

  1. AVAILABILITY

Every effort will be made to ensure that the motorhome reserved is available. However, if due to circumstances beyond our control the vehicle is not available, we will in no way be held responsible. We will endeavour to supply a similar replacement vehicle, failing which all monies paid to the company will be refunded.

The company, (we), reserve the right to vary the rates and conditions at any time and to cancel or refuse hire to any person without explanation or prior warning.

  1. INTENDED METHOD OF PAYMENT

Credit Card/Debit Card/ Bank Transfers are all accepted methods of payment.

 

In order to make sure the handover of the vehicle on collection day goes smoothly, we may request that you contact us 2 days before your hire to give us details of your payment method for the Security deposit. Payment will not be taken until the day of hire.

  1. WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING ON THE HIRE DAY? (For Each Driver)

Please note, we require all of the paperwork or we will not be able to hire the motorhome to you, and you will be liable for the cost of the hire.
